Sharing large files or folders with external customers
Our O365 mailbox has a default limit of being able to send a maximum of 15MB worth of attachments per email.
There are some rare cases where an individual can send up to 50MB of attachments, but this is simply due to a misconfiguration in the US who manages our mailboxes.
Limits also applies to the size of attachments you can receive in an email. This will apply to your customers as well and their limits vary depending on their mailbox settings by their IT department.
Alternatively, we can use OneDrive to share our files and folders of any size, files with extensions that are blocked by Outlook by default. Furthermore by using OneDrive, you quickly check to see who you have shared your files to.
Requirements:
- OneDrive is setup on your computer and/or iPhone.
- Your customers need to have a Microsoft Account. They can create one in four steps. (Instruction attached).
You already have a Microsoft Account and do not need to create another one. Your Microsoft Account is ITWConnect ID. Example: 8xxxxxx@itwconnect.com or 4xxxxxx@itwconnect.com
